Holstein of Zachary (La.) High ranks as the nation’s No. 70 overall player, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the eighth-best quarterback and No. 6 player in Louisiana, per the On3 Consensus.
And as he moves closer and closer to deciding, Eli Holstein has seen a steady increase in NIL value.
So much so that Holstein’s On3 NIL Valuation climbed this week to $395,000. Moreover, he’s seen a 14-week growth in his On3 NIL Valuation of 1,242%. He also now ranks as the No. 8 player in the On3 High School Football NIL Rankings and the No. 48 player in the On3 NIL 100.
The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Eli Holstein’s On3 NIL Valuation soaring
Eli Holstein has a strong NIL value, despite having a relatively small social media following. In mid-May, he has only around 5,500 followers on social media. Yet, he still has a $2,000 On3 Per Post Value. He has around 2.2K followers on Instagram and 3.2K followers on Twitter.
Many NIL experts think with Eli Holstein’s strong stock on the recruiting trail, he will have an even stronger brand.
“Eli is a little under the radar from a social media standpoint, but he is going to end up at a big-time school,” a NIL expert told On3. “It’s going to only get stronger and strong as he goes through this process and eventually pick a school – especially if that school is a place like Alabama.”
Holstein a heavily targeted QB
Eli Holstein’s recruitment has had plenty of twists and turns throughout the process. In mid-March, he backed off a longtime commitment to Texas A&M. He then picked up more offers from programs all over the country and took visits to Florida and repeated visits to Tuscaloosa.
“He’s tripped to Tuscaloosa three times and the Crimson Tide has emerged as the team to beat for the four-star according to multiple sources,” Simmons reported.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine agrees with the intel. Alabama has a 98.1% chance of landing Holstein, according to the On3 RPM. Plus, there are four predictions for Alabama from recruiting insiders ranging from the 55-to-75% range.
