As we’ve seen already this college football and basketball season, excelling on the field and court can quickly lead to increases in a player’s NIL value.

After Caleb Williams became the eighth player in USC history to win the Heisman Trophy this past weekend in New York City, his On3 NIL Valuation surged past $3 million.

But he’s not the only player making money moves.

Here’s a look at five players that shot up the charts over the past week with their On3 NIL Valuations. Some even made solid moves in the On3 NIL 100. The On3 NIL 100 is the first of its kind and the defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their market valuation.

Jalen Wilson – Kansas

Position: Forward
On3 NIL Valuation: $907,000
Increase over last week: $274,000
On3 NIL 100 ranking: 27

Kansas star Jalen Wilson continues to be one of the most impactful college basketball players in the country. Through nine games, the junior is averaging 22.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and is shooting 36% from 3-point range.

Wilson has quickly established himself as the leader for the defending national champions, including scoring 24 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out two assists to lead the Jayhawks past rival Mizzou last weekend.

Success on the court is a big part of the increased On3 NIL Valuation, but it’s not the only reason. After the win over Mizzou, Wilson saw a 13.9% increase in his Instagram following and he also now has more than 83,000 TikTok followers. Plus, he has a number of big deals in place. This includes a recent T-shirt deal with Charlie Hustle, a national clothing chain based in Kansas City.

Overall, his On3 NIL Valuation has climbed 203% to $907,000 since the start of the basketball season.

Brandon Miller – Alabama

Position: Forward
On3 NIL Valuation: $818,000
Increase over last week: $414,000
On3 NIL 100 ranking: 36

Alabama forward Brandon Miller arrived in Tuscaloosa this season as a On3 Consensus five-star recruit and the No. 14 overall prospect in the country. So far, he’s lived up to the hype.

He’s averaging 17.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and is shooting 42% from 3-point range. Even though he struggled from the field, he iced the Crimson Tide’s 71-65 victory over undefeated and top-ranked Houston this past weekend with six free throws in the final minute.

That big moment against the Cougars, helped him see a 19% increase in his Instagram followers. He now has more than 34,000 followers overall and his On3 NIL Valuation has blown through the roof – climbing an astronomical 2,185% over the past 10 weeks.

Zach Edey – Purdue

Position: Center
On3 NIL Valuation: $799,000
Increase over last week: $259,000
On3 NIL 100 ranking: 40

Purdue center Zach Edey doesn’t have a long list of NIL deals like others in this story. But Edey has quickly become the most dominant presence in college basketball.

The Boilermakers’ star is averaging 22 points and 13.7 rebounds through 10 games this season, helping Purdue climb to No. 1 in the most recent AP rankings with a  perfect record. On Monday he was also named Big Ten Conference Player of the Week for the third consecutive week.

As he continues to dominate this season, expect his On3 NIL Valuation of $799,000 to move up the charts. And also, don’t be surprised if Boilermaker Alliance, the highly successful Purdue-focused collective, helps him ink even more deals moving forward. Edey grabbed headlines in August when he signed a deal with the collective with a focus on helping charitable services in his hometown of Toronto.

Sydney Parrish – Indiana

Position: Center
On3 NIL Valuation: $106,000
On3 Women’s NIL 100 ranking: 27

Indiana women’s basketball star Sydney Parrish is making the most of her return to her home state after transferring from Oregon.

Through 10 games, the former five-star prospect and top-10 overall recruit averages 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds. She also had a career-high 24 points in an 87-63 victory over top-10 North Carolina on Dec. 1. She also scored 12.5 points in the Hoosiers’ 67-65 Big Ten opening victory against Penn State.

It’s become clear Sydney Parrish has rebounded and made the transition to Indiana. That transition is being perfectly captured on the NIL front, where Parrish has seen her On3 NIL Valuation blossom to $106,000 – which ranks in the top 15 of women’s basketball.

Parrish has already executed a long list of NIL deals, including a new commercial with Owen County State Bank. Plus, she has a massive social media presence with around 300,000 followers, including 193,000 on TikTok alone.

Maricarmen Reyes – UCLA

Position: Midfielder
On3 NIL Valuation: $39,000
Increase over last week: $2,300
On3 Women’s NIL 100 ranking: 59

UCLA midfielder Maricarmen Reyes doesn’t quite have the same On3 NIL Valuation as others on this list. Yet, her increase of $2,300 is still significant for a women’s soccer player.

Last week, Reyes scored the go-ahead goal off a rebound in the 107th minute to help top-seeded UCLA rally past North Carolina 3-2 to win its second women’s soccer championship in program history.

Reyes’ sliding finish from a difficult angle was replayed over and over on ESPN and other national media outlets. Plus, she was also featured in a number of social media posts where she’s shown on the field with the national championship trophy with tears of joy.

The national title and her individual moment saw her social media presence spike and reach more than 36,000 followers. She already has a well-established NIL brand with her success also from the Mexico National Team and deals with adidas and Wells Fargo. It’ll be exciting to see what deals come from her big moment on college soccer’s biggest stage.

About the On3 NIL Valuation

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athlete’s projected annual value (PAV).

A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation establishes the overall NIL market and projected 12-month growth rate by measuring two categories, Brand Value Index and Roster Value Index.

The Brand Value Index measures the national licensing and sponsorship market. The Roster Value Index collects data from all school Collectives into a proprietary Roster Management software. Brand Value and Roster Value are combined to create the overall NIL market.

Using the overall NIL market size, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s Brand Value and Roster Value by using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories:

+ Performance
+ Influence
+ Exposure

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future. The On3 NIL Valuation is publicly available. Performance, Influence, and Exposure ratings along with the athlete’s personal Brand Value Index and Roster Value Index are available only to the athlete in the “Athlete Verified” private dashboard on the On3 Athlete Network.
