In honor of International Women’s Day, <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/florida-gators/">Florida</a> quarterback <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/dj-lagway-34744/">DJ Lagway</a> is giving back. Through a partnership with the Gators’ <a href="https://www.on3.com/nil/collectives/">NIL collective</a>, <a href="https://www.on3.com/nil/collectives/florida-victorious-255/">Florida Victorious</a>, Lagway is donating NIL dollars to women’s sports.



The specific number of dollars was not made public, but On3 was told Lagway is giving six figures for the effort. How the dollars are being broken up was not made clear, but Florida Victorious will split up the dollars between gymnastics, women’s basketball, softball and volleyball.



“Hard work is the lifeblood of everything we do,” Lagway <a href="https://x.com/DerekLagway/status/1898434234265546955">said</a> on social media. “Every home run, every spike. So many hours of unseen hard work. But I see it, I see the 25 SEC championships. I see it in the perfect 10. I can hear the hours of dedication in every pitch. I see the precision in every 3-pointer. I am truly inspired by these women, their passion pushes me to go harder every single day.”

The former five-star recruit jumped on the scene as a true freshman last fall, leading Florida down the stretch and winning its final four games. Many expect him to be a Heisman contender in 2025 and have Florida in the <a href="https://www.on3.com/category/college-football-playoff/news/">College Football Playoff</a> conversation. He threw for 1,915 yards as a freshman in 2024.



Now a star at Florida and using it to leverage NIL dollars, he’s giving back to women’s athletes. In addition to a partnership with Gatorade, Lagway’s NIL portfolio includes deals with Nintendo and Epic Games, as well as Leaf Trading Cards. He also recently launched the Lagway Foundation in partnership with UF Health.



DJ Lagway holds an <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/dj-lagway-34744/nil-deals/">On3 NIL Valuation</a> of $3.8 million, which puts him at No. 4 in the <a href="https://www.on3.com/nil/rankings/player/college/football/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">college football NIL rankings</a>. He also sits at No. 7 in the <a href="https://www.on3.com/nil/rankings/player/nil-valuations/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">On3 NIL 100</a>, the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.
