Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett is ringing up more NIL money.

Prior to the big showdown between Tennessee and Georgia, Vols fans had some fun at Bennett’s expense. They reportedly leaked his phone number and proceeded to call and text him throughout the night ahead of the game in Athens.

Bennett made sure to remind them about that after scoring the game’s first touchdown.

The Georgia quarterback took a 13-yard run to the end zone to put the Bulldogs ahead 7-3 early in the game. During his celebration, he held his hand up as if he was talking on the phone – trolling the fans who lit his up all night.

Now he’s answered the call with a perfect pairing through two NIL deals with The Players Trunk and BreakingT.

“Call me 27-13” is the wording on The Players Trunk merchandise, and black T-shirts are selling for $29.99 and hoodies for $49.99. Another T-shirt that says “Ring Me” with an image of Bennett and his autograph is offered up by Breaking T for $34.

The Players Trunk told the Athens Banner-Herald it worked directly with Bennett to get the merchandise available by Monday morning.

“When he does that celebration, we already have the wheels moving on our side of things,” Pomerantz told the Banner-Herald. “Our design team works 24-7 around the clock. We have designers all over the U.S. and even the world because someone’s got to be on call for us.”

The terms of the deals were not released. Nonetheless, The Players Trunk NIL agreements normally are very favorable to student-athletes.

Stetson Bennett received around 700 calls

After the game, Stetson Bennett said he received around 600 and 700 calls and texts from Volunteer fans on Friday. Plus, he also celebrated a second time in the game with the phone gesture after connecting with Ladd McConkey for a 37-yard touchdown. The second celebration came directly in front of the Tennessee band that was in the Northwest corner of Sanford Stadium.

“I’m sure everybody else knows what it was about,” Bennett told reporters after the game. “But I was just in the moment. I didn’t return any. I just sat on them – ate them.”

Bennett said the calls didn’t provide extra motivation for the game. But it bothered him enough to tease the Tennessee fans in the stadium.

“There’s probably something there, yeah,” he said.
