Class of 2023 point guard Jada Williams signed a NIL deal with the enhanced water brand Lemon Perfect. Williams, who recruiting services rate as a five-star prospect, is a senior at La Jolla Country Day School in San Diego. Williams signed with Arizona on Wednesday after she decommitted from UCLA in August.

“A swag unmatched,” stated the caption of Lemon Perfect’s Instagram post that announced the partnership.

High school athletes in California are allowed to engage in NIL opportunities while retaining their eligibility. California was the first state that allows athletes to sign NIL deals, as long as endorsements aren’t affiliated with an athlete’s school or team.

“I love Lemon Perfect because it gives me a healthy way to stay hydrated with flavor, and I’m excited to join the team because I can put the brand on my platforms and show my fans how amazing Lemon Perfect is,” Williams said in a statement. “Lemon Perfect does not fake their goodness for the cameras and is a super-dope company, which makes it taste even better. When it comes to performance, it’s important to take care of your body, and Lemon Perfect always helps me perform at my best.”

Williams has a massive social media following with more than 660,000 Instagram followers and more than 370,000 on TikTok.

“Our partnership with Jada is exciting for Lemon Perfect as we dive meaningfully into the NIL ecosystem,” Lemon Perfect founder and CEO Yanni Hufnagel said in a statement. “That Jada is both a top-tier basketball prospect and social media star is unique. She is a one-of-a-kind basketball prospect and content creator whose talent in front of the camera and on the court will help drive brand awareness as Lemon Perfect continues its quest to become the number one brand in the enhanced water category by dollar share.”

Jada Williams’ potential NIL opportunities

Williams is one of the premier players in the sport. She has played for USA Basketball, winning gold medals at the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup and 2021 FIBA Americas U16 Championship.

Between her skill level and her social media following, Williams has the opportunity to earn significant NIL opportunities, especially once she enrolls at Arizona. The Wildcats finished as the national runners-up in 2021, losing to Stanford by one, and they fell in the second round last season.

She has previously partnered with the workout clothing brand Gymshark. Williams also attended the first-ever NIL Summit, where hundreds of athletes gathered in Atlanta.
