Kentucky earned a historic win over the Gators last season – beating UF in Lexington for the first time since 1986. Yet, Florida looks rejuvenated under first-year coach Billy Napier. In his debut, the Gators upset then-No. 7 Utah in one of the best games of Week 1.
Both teams had successful starts to the 2022 season. Plus, both teams are chock-full of players that are doing well in the NIL world and would certainly be boosted by a big performance Saturday night.
On3 breaks down the top-five On3 NIL Valuations ahead of this key SEC matchup.
1. Anthony Richardson
On3 NIL Valuation: $1.1 million
Per Post Value: $1,700
On3 Impact 300 ranking: No. 9
Nobody had a more impactful Week 1 than Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson. He led the Gators to a massive victory over the Utes and saw his On3 NIL Valuation soar to $1.1 million. Richardson had the potential to join the Heisman Trophy conversation this season. But after just one week, he’s catapulted himself onto the shortlist of names who can compete with Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud. The success in Week 1 also looks like it’ll pay off from a NIL standpoint. NIL attorney Darren Heitner said on Wednesday that Richardson has agreed to a soon-to-be-announced “long form NIL agreement.”
2. O’Cyrus Torrence
On3 NIL Valuation: $530,000
Per Post Value: $124
Position: Offensive tackle
On3 Impact 300 ranking: No. 26
Florida offensive lineman O’Cyrus Torrence was named a preseason All-American and a preseason All-SEC pick by league coaches. He has an ON3 NIL Valuation of $530,000 and climbing. Torrence followed Napier to Florida from Louisiana, where he helped the Ragin’ Ragin’ Cajuns offense rank 10th nationally and first in the Sun Belt in rushing touchdowns (34), tied 18th in the country in total touchdowns (58), conference leaders, and tied 23rd nationally in first downs (313). Torrence already has a NIL partnership with the Gator Collective. If the rest of the season plays out like it’s expected, Torrence should be able to strike more deals.
3. Will Levis
On3 NIL Valuation: $518,000
Per Post Value: $1,800
On3 Impact 300 ranking: No. 103
Kentucky quarterback Will Levis was one of the major stars during Year One of NIL. Lewis has a $518,000 On3 NIL Valuation. Plus, he’s already racked up a long list of NIL endorsement deals, especially because of his relationship with the Athlete Advantage collective. His most recent deals were with Ale-8-One soda and with NOBULL. But he’s also done deals with a golf course, car dealership, and even with a thoroughbred stallion. If he can orchestrate another victory over the Gators and the Wildcats make noise in SEC, the possibilities for him to make bank from NIL are endless.
4. Gervon Dexter
On3 NIL Valuation: $379,000
Per Post Value: $896
Position: Defensive line
On3 Impact 300 ranking: No. 101
Florida defensive lineman Gervon Dexter was named a captain for the Gators’ game against Utah. He has a quality game for the Gators, racking up five tackles and a quarterback hurry. Dexter, like many other top UF players, already has a NIL partnership with the Gator Collective. He also has a massive social media presence with nearly 35,000 followers on Instagram. All that is the perfect recipe for a big boost in his On3 NIL Valuation of $379,000.
5. Brenton Cox
On3 NIL Valuation: $377,000
Per Post Value: $502
On3 Impact 300 ranking: No. 145
Gators’ EDGE Brenton Cox had a massive first game of the season, earning Co-Defensive Linemen of the Week honors from the SEC. Cox tallied 10 tackles, a quarterback hurry and a tackle for a loss in the victory over Utah. Cox already had a strong On3 NIL Valuation, but the big performance buoyed his total to $377,000 and it’s expected to continue to climb. He already has a NIL partnership with the Gator Collective, a strong Instagram presence with more than 19,500 followers. If Cox continues to build his resume as one of the best pass rushers in college football, he’ll have plenty of NIL opportunities.
About the On3 NIL Valuation
The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories:
+ Exposure While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.
