Word to the wise: don’t leave your motorhome unlocked at a NASCAR event during a rain delay. Kevin Harvick learned a hard lesson over the weekend, thanks to Austin Cindric, Tyler Reddick and others. The good news? He should have plenty of toilet paper for the foreseeable future.

Harvick joined the booth on Saturday as part of the drivers-only broadcast for this weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte. But when inclement weather delayed the race, a few of Harvick’s teammates decided to have some fun at the driver’s expense.

Cindric, Reddick and NASCAR play-by-play and pit road reporter Jamie Little snuck into Harvick’s motorhome during the delay. They decided to give the interior a little makeover … using plenty of toilet paper.

Perhaps the best part of the entire vandalization was Harvick witnessing it live on air. But, it sounds like it was nothing more than a little payback for the 47-year-old driver.

During the broadcast, Harvick revealed that he used to jump into the motorhome of NASCAR legend Darrell Waltrip and TP the inside. This must’ve served as a little payback for DW.

“When we started, it was all about having fun. … We used to toilet paper Darrell Waltrip’s motorhome,” Harvick said. “I used to go in there during these rain delays and eat his food out of his refrigerator. Myself and Matt Yocum, we would usually terrorize DW’s motorhome during any rain delay that we got.”

Unfortunately for Cindric, Reddick and Little, they couldn’t get too comfortable inside Harvick’s motorhome. He informed them that there were no snacks inside the rig for the trip to Charlotte.

NASCAR postpones both races at Charlotte

Weather refused to cooperate at Charlotte over the weekend. That forced NASCAR to bump both the Xfinity Series and Cup Series race to Monday, May 29.

Typically, the Coca-Cola 600 follows the Indianapolis 500, making the last Sunday in May one of the most memorable for race fans. But because of rain in the area, NASCAR made the decision to move both races to Monday. So, get ready for 900 miles of racing action.

Here’s the schedule for the two races from Charlotte:

Alsco Uniforms 300 (NASCAR Xfinity Series)

  • Start time: 11 a.m. ET
  • Channel: FS1

Coca-Cola 600 (NASCAR Cup Series)

  • Start time: 3 p.m. ET
  • Channel: FOX

The Coca-Cola 600 marks the start of the second half of the 2023 regular season in NASCAR. Last weekend, drivers occupied North Wilkesboro for the All-Star Race.
