Christian Braun was one of the most explosive guards in the country during his excellent career with the Kansas Jayhawks. The gifted guard continues to display his eye-popping athleticism in the NBA. On Wednesday night in the Denver Nuggets-Milwaukee Bucks matchup, Braun dunked on one of the best players in the NBA, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Not only that, after he dunked on him, the former Jayhawk star hit Giannis with an epic stare down afterwards.

Check out the play, where Braun takes the ball coast-to-coast, taking off from the dotted line area, and dunking over Giannis.

It was a nice dunk by Braun and a little bit of a late reaction by Giannis. The former Jayhawk star continues to show off his fearless nature and that strong, burning competitive desire that burns deep within his soul. That fire and emotion is part of what makes Braun such a dangerous player.

On Wednesday night, he scored eight points, grabbed two rebounds, and dished out one assist for the Nuggets.

Christian Braun Kansas Jayhawks’ career

Braun was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team in 2020. Then, in 2022, he was Second-team All-Big 12. He was an incredibly important player for the Kansas Jayhawks, playing better than thirty minutes as both a sophomore and a junior. His 31 points against St. John’s were a season-high for the 2021-22 season.

For his college basketball career, Braun averaged 10.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He also shot 44.9% from the field and 37.8% from three-point range on his career.

A former three-star recruit in the class of 2019, Braun was never a sure thing for the NBA. It’s a position he was able to get to through hard work and developing his game throughout his college career. He was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the No. 21 overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft.
