The Thursday Night Football showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks was the most-watched game on Amazon Prime yet. The Cowboys hosted Seattle for what became their 14th consecutive home win and drew in a record crowd to watch. Nearly 15.3 million people tuned in for the broadcast with the game reaching its peak at 17.76 million viewers around 9:30 p.m. ET.

The game viewership was up 53% year-over-year from last year’s Bills versus Patriots game. Overall, viewership on Prime games has skyrocketed in its second year. On average, the broadcasts on Amazon Prime this season have had 29% more viewers than the games on the same streaming platform last season. The Thursday Night Football games are now averaging 12.58 million viewers per game, according to Prime Video Sports PR.

Amazon Prime took over Thursday Night Football ahead of the 2022 season. Per SBJ and the Wall Street Journal, Amazon’s deal for TNF is worth roughly $1.2 billion per year — about double what FOX paid to own the weekly game prior to the switch to Prime.

The Cowboys could break another streaming record in Week 14 as they host the 10-2 Philadelphia Eagles. The game is in primetime on Sunday Night Football.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott takes lead in MVP race

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott jumped into the lead in the Las Vegas odds for the MVP race for the first time this season leading into Week 14. Although he wasn’t leading right after the Cowboys beat the Seahawks on Thursday, he edged out Jalen Hurts on Sunday when the Eagles fell to the 49ers.

Leading Dallas to a 6-1 record over the last seven games, Prescott has a 70% completion rate, 2,173 yards, 23 total touchdowns, and two interceptions. On the season, he has just six interceptions, which comes after he posted a career-high of 15 in 2022. Overall, he has 3,234 passing yards, 174 rushing yards and 28 total touchdowns. He’s also taken 26 sacks.

Hurts, on the other hand, has 2,995 passing yards, 430 rushing yards and 31 total touchdowns. He’s also thrown 10 interceptions and taken 32 sacks.

Both quarterbacks have second-year 49ers star Brock Purdy at their heels. Including his numbers from the win over the Eagles on Sunday, Purdy has 3,185 passing yards, 131 rushing yards, 25 touchdowns and six interceptions with 23 sacks.

After Week 13 games, Prescott and Hurts’ season records are just one win apart heading into their Week 14 showdown. The Eagles and Cowboys kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday Night Football.
