Former Missouri running back Tyler Badie made his NFL debut in a special way on Sunday, scoring a touchdown in his first career game. Badie was signed to the Denver Broncos on Dec. 29 and made their gameday roster for the final game of the 2022-23 NFL season. Badie made the most of his chance by turning his first career touch into a 24-yard receiving touchdown up the sideline.

Badie exploded his final year with the Tigers and earned himself a sixth-round draft selection by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2022 NFL Draft. In his final season at Missouri, Badie rushed for 1,604 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding another 330 yards and four touchdowns receiving.

After spending most of the season on Baltimore’s practice squad, Badie was given another chance to see the field as a member of the Broncos ahead of the season finale. The first time he touched the football in a regular season game, it was to give the Broncos a 24-17 lead over the Los Angeles Chargers in front of the Denver home crowd.
