Indiana WR Elijah Sarratt talks NFL Draft preparations while celebrtating national championship at Raising Cane's
Indiana Hooisers wide receiver Elijah Sarratt is ready to make an impact in the NFL after helping the team win the national championship. Shortly after Indiana defeated the Miami Hurricanes in the CFP National Championship game last week, Sarratt and his teammates, defensive backs D’Angelo Ponds and Jamari Sharpe, worked a celebratory “shift” at Raising Cane’s in Bloomington, Indiana. On3 attended the event and asked Sarratt about how he’s preparing for the Combine and the NFL Draft.
“It’s been a blessing just throughout this whole season to begin with, allowing me to end it the way I wanted to. But it changes quick,” Elijah Sarratt told On3 and a group of reporters. “The book’s over for college. I’m starting a new book now, but the next couple of days, I’m going to just pack everything up. I head down to Florida to train on Sunday, so it’s enjoying these last moments here in this town with this community, my people. So, I’m grateful for the opportunity ahead, and I’m excited, for sure.”
Sarratt was a big reason Indiana finished the season with a national title and a 16-0 record. The 22-year-old finished the year with 65 receptions for 830 yards and a team-high 15 receiving touchdowns. Sarratt’s production in 2025 led to him being selected to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
The question is, where will Sarratt be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft? According to Sports Illustrated, Sarratt is expected to be selected in the second or third round.

Elijah Sarratt shows love to Hoosiers fans
“Sarratt is not fast by NFL standards, but he still gets open,” Thomas Martinez of Sports Illustrated wrote. “Sarratt will add value to a wide receiver room from his competitive nature, ability to thrive in the quick game and the middle of the field, and his ability to thrive in high-pressure moments.”
Before Sarratt began his NFL Draft preparations, he worked at Raising Cane’s with Ponds and Sharpe. The trio greeted fans at the counter, filled drinks, and buttered Cane’s toast. The shift came before Sarratt, Ponds, and Sharpe celebrated with the entire team at a championship rally at Memorial Stadium last weekend.

“I always knew the excitement that Bloomington people had, and I’m glad we were able to give this win to everyone. The fans deserve it. We wouldn’t be able to have the success we’ve had without them,” Sarratt said. “We’re dogs – we love the game, and we love showing out for ourselves. I wish we had more time here.”
