Jim Harbaugh is trending toward taking an NFL job, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. His future is undecided, but it’s looking like the Los Angeles Chargers will be the pick.

Well at least, that seems to be the impending outcome. Harbaugh will interview with LA for the second time and already talked with the Atlanta Falcons twice.

Not to mention Michigan is doing everything in its power to try and keep him. Schefter reported Harbaugh is more likely to return to the pros at this point.

“I do think it’s tracking that way and I do think it’s trending that way,” Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show. “It seems like there’s a lot of interest, not just from the Chargers, but from the Falcons, so I think there’s a realistic chance he’s going to wind up in the NFL. I think that’s the belief of a lot of people. But right now, he’s got to go through these interviews still.

“He’s going to meet with the Chargers at some point this week. It’ll be the second time he meets with them. Everybody seems to think that that is a match that makes a lot of sense from both sides’ perspectives, which I think it does.”

Schefter noted that Harbaugh is not the end-all-be-all for the Chargers though.

“And let’s see if they can figure it out, bridge their differences,” Schefter said. “The Chargers have cast a wide net with a lot of people. And it may just be that they settle on Jim Harbaugh, it wouldn’t be a surprise. But they’re talking to a lot of different people as well.”

After Michigan won the national title, he sat down with ESPN’s Rece Davis and was asked about his future and if he was interested in going to the NFL.

“It was such a great feeling last night celebrating and really cool to wake up this morning and it wasn’t a dream,” Harbaugh said. “That was real and it felt almost just as good as last night. We want to take a happy flight back to Ann Arbor, Michigan.

“The guys want a parade. So, gosh darn it, let’s give them a parade. I’m looking forward to that, too. Then we’ll see what happens. No man knows the future. Nobody can predict that. That’s biblical, and right now feels pretty darn good.”

Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who is the brother of Jim, recently had high praise for his brother.

“He may be the best team builder in football right now,” he told Schefter. “Nobody builds a team better. He knows how to put it together, top to bottom. He knows how to include people. Knows how to make them part of it. He knows how to empower people.”
