Justin Haley had an incredibly busy Memorial Day at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., setting a NASCAR record in the process. The 24-year-old driver raced for 898.5 miles Monday, which is the most NASCAR National Series miles completed in a single day by any driver in the history of NASCAR.

Haley competed in both the NASCAR Cup Series’ Coca-Cola 600 and the Xfinity Series’ Alsco Uniforms 300.

He raced in the No. 10 car in place of Kyle Busch for the Alsco Uniforms 300.

Haley finished in 15th place in the Coca-Cola 600. In the Alsco Uniforms 300, Haley crossed the finish line in 12th place.

“I wish I could’ve been better for everyone (Kaulig Racing) today,” Haley tweeted. “Cup car had good speed but didn’t get the finish we deserved, the Xfinity car was good, I just took to long to adapt and put us behind. Thank you to the fans for sticking the rain out and making this sport what it is.”

Haley leaves Charlotte Motor Speedway ranked 23rd in the NASCAR Cup Series standings. He has three top-10 finishes this season: the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway and the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway.

His last victory on either the NASCAR Cup Series or Xfinity Series was the 2021 Wawa 250 at Daytona on the Xfinity Series.

Ryan Blaney defeated Justin Haley and others to win Coca Cola 600

Ryan Blaney emerged victorious at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday with the checkered flag, winning the Coca Cola 600. It was his first victory in 59 races.

His previous victory had been the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway in August 2021.

He led 163 of the 400 laps during the Coca-Cola 600.

“I might shed a tear,” Blaney said after the race, via NASCAR.com. “I just was able to get the lead, and that car was so good that I could kind of bide my time a little bit and then we were able to drive off. I was hoping no caution, just because you never know. I know we had the car to do it, but restarts can be crazy…You start to get to feel like you can’t win anymore when you don’t win in a while. It kind of gets hard. So just super thankful to the 12 guys for believing in me…

Justin Allgaier won the Alsco Uniforms 300.
