TJ Watt is one of the best players that the NFL has to offer. However, that doesn’t exclude him from making literal missteps in his day-to-day life.

Watt posted a video to social media last week of him falling straight into his pool while cleaning it. Once it was determined that he was okay, even he got a laugh out of the inexplicable slip-up on his personal property.

Then, soon after, JJ Watt had to join in on the laughs with his own response to the video. He deemed it “the most ‘TJ’ video” he’d ever seen as big brother couldn’t do anything but cackle at his little brother’s antics.

Now, this week at OTAs for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Watt had to break down the video for the first time. He said that he still doesn’t really know how it happened at the moment. Even so, he also used it to comically point out his elite athleticism and how it protected him from harm.

“I don’t know how I missed a step but I did,” he said. “A lesser athlete would’ve gotten hurt.”

Fans of the black and yellow likely held their breath during their first watch of the clip. With Watt being okay, though, it’s a clip that can give anyone a grin, especially considering how well the All-Pro is taking the response to the fail.

Report: NBC targeting JJ Watt for coverage of Big Ten football

NBC is reportedly targeting JJ Watt for its coverage of Big Ten football during the inaugural broadcast season in 2023.

Awful Announcing first reported the news about Joshua Perry, a former Ohio State linebacker, getting hired as a studio analyst. Watt is the next target now that he’s retired from the NFL. Watt played his college football at Wisconsin, making him a logical fit for NBC

“Who will be joining Perry and Taylor is still in flux, but NBC is hoping to land Big Ten legend J.J. Watt,” Awful Announcing’s Ben Koo wrote. “The future Hall of Famer is an obvious fit having played at Wisconsin and would likely have a significant role on Sunday Night Football as well. However, Watt is being courted by multiple networks and thus might not ultimately land at NBC. Another name in the mix is Michael Robinson, who has been an analyst for NFL Network and additionally worked with NBC on USFL broadcasts.”

NBC’s Big Ten broadcasts are dubbed Big Ten Saturday Night, similar to the NFL’s Sunday Night Football. Perry previously worked at the Big Ten Network as a studio and game analyst.
