Timothée Chalamet stuns college football world on ESPN College GameDay
Timothée Chalamet apparently knows ball as evidenced by his guest appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay Saturday.
Ahead of the conference championship games, Chalamet joined the desk and made his picks, including a surprising one in the MAC Championship. That’s a lot of football knowledge for someone who embedded himself in Bob Dylan’s life. Chalamet’s new movie A Complete Unknown, stars Chalamet as Dylan himself.
But the actor was the only one to pick Ohio over Miami (Ohio). You can see his full set of picks below.
As Kirk Herbstreit pointed out, Chalamet brought the heat during the picks segment. He clearly did his research. As of this writing, Ohio led Miami (Ohio) 31-3 early in the fourth quarter.
Chalamet also picked Jackson State over Southern in the SWAC Championship, Louisiana over Marshall in the Sun Belt, Arizona State over Iowa State in the Big 12 (including a big day from Cam Skattebo), SMU over Clemson in the ACC, Oregon over Penn State in the Big Ten and finally, Texas over Georgia in the SEC.
Chalamet: Arizona State over Iowa State
As he pointed out, Cam Skattebo would take over in this game. He already struck the Heisman pose too! Sounds like Chalamet knew this type of performance was coming.

Chalamet: SMU over Clemson
The ACC Championship Game has a lot on the line for both teams. You could argue both teams need to win to get into the College Football Playoff. Alabama is sitting home and waiting, probably hoping Clemson wins. But Chalamet went for it and picked SMU to turn back the clock the 1980s when they were a dominant force in college football.
Chalamet: Oregon over Penn State
This one wasn’t as much of a shocker. Chalamet credited Oregon as a dominant team in college football and decided to go with the favorite.
Chalamet: Texas over Georgia
Siding with Matthew McConaughey? Yeah, we’d probably do that too. Perhaps he made this pick “Like a Rolling Stone” and rolled with the Longhorns over the Bulldogs.
There are plenty of examples of celebrity guest pickers on College GameDay that just pick blindly. Chalamet came prepared!
