Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs is making his way back to the lineup after being on injured reserve for multiple injuries. On Monday, the Cowboys released their first practice report for the Week 14 game against the Detroit Lions, and Diggs (knee) was a limited participant.

Per Patrik Walker of DallasCowboys.com, Trevon Diggs returned to practice on Sunday, marking the first day of a 21-day practice window clock. Dallas has until Dec. 21 to either activate Diggs from injured reserve or place him on season-ending IR.

In mid-October, Diggs suffered a concussion at his home. He was ruled out for the next two games before the Cowboys placed him on injured reserve to allow him to clear concussion protocol and to manage soreness in his knee.

“I’m really excited,” Diggs said on Sunday, per Tommy Yarrish of DallasCowboys.com. “I feel like momentum is going, and I just want to make sure I go out there and continue the momentum, put out great effort, make plays, and just continue to try and help this team win.”

Trevon Diggs feels ‘better now’

Diggs also revealed how he was feeling after being on IR for a month. “I feel way better now, because you don’t know how you’re going to feel when you get out there, you know?” Diggs said. “I went out there, I was feeling good the first couple of weeks, and then it started to weigh on me a little bit. I started getting some swelling in my knee. Now, I don’t have any swelling in my knee, I feel good, I feel like I’m running good, I feel like my hamstring’s strong, everything is good and strong. I feel ready.”

Diggs has played in six of the Cowboys’ 12 games this season and has recorded 18 tackles. Due to his injured knee, the former Alabama star has not played a full season since 2022.

The Cowboys are getting Diggs at the right time, as they have won the last three games. Dallas is currently 6-5-1 on the year and in second place in the NFC East. The Cowboys will need to keep winning to make the playoffs, as the San Francisco 49ers have the final playoff spot with a 9-4 record.
