Lubbock (Texas) Frenship four-star wide receiver Chase Campbell has made it known that he’s eyeing a commitment in July. He’s now trimmed his list of contenders down to three.

On Tuesday, the star pass-catcher named Baylor, Kansas State and Texas Tech as his finalists. All three schools received official visits from the 5-foot-11, 170-pounder.

Rivals ranks Campbell as the No. 57 overall prospect and No. 8 WR in the nation. He checks in as the No. 110 recruit in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Campbell is coming off a jam-packed OV schedule that saw him log seven trips. Arkansas, Utah, North Carolina and Oklahoma State were also vying for the blue-chipper earlier this year but did not make his latest cut.

Hometown Texas Tech remains a contender to watch as Campbell inches closer to a decision. The Red Raiders are keeping their foot on the gas down the stretch to try and keep him home, according to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman.

“He’s a priority target for Joey McGuire and we’re hearing this staff is diving all in as a July commitment approaches,” Spiegelman wrote on Monday.

TTU now has a top-40 class in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and is in contention for multiple blue-chip commitments later this week. Baylor is a program that’s picked up some steam on the trail this summer, too. The Bears landed in-state four-star safety Jordan Deck on June 24 and would love to add Campbell to the top of the pledge list in Waco.

Kansas State is now the lone out-of-state survivor in the push for Campbell. He was in Manhattan on the weekend of June 13 and would also be the top-ranked member of the Wildcats’ class, if he were to choose Chris Klieman the Sunflower State program.

Campbell is a do-it-all star for Frenship. As a junior last season, he caught over 80 passes for more than 1,400 yards for the second year in a row. He tallied 26 scores in 2024 — 18 receiving, six rushing and two passing — per MaxPreps. Frenship won eight games last season and finished as the No. 52 team in Texas, according to the Rivals Composite Rankings.
