Elite TE Mark Bowman reclassifies to 2026 class

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei tight end Mark Bowman, currently a member of the class of 2027, will reclassify to the 2026 cycle, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Saturday afternoon.

Bowman is the nation’s No. 5 overall prospect in the 2027 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the top-ranked tight end in the class and the No. 2 recruit from the Golden State.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound sophomore tight end is down to 12 schools: Texas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Alabama, USC, Arizona State, Miami, Florida, Oregon, Georgia, LSU and Ohio State.

Bowman has long been one of the top prospects in the 2027 class — already getting national attention last June at the OT7 Championships. Coming off of his freshman season, he was named a top performer by On3 for the event.
