Wisconsin’s 2025 season on the field hasn’t gone as planned, but the Badgers are still hoping to close out their recruiting class strong over the next three weeks.

They only had 14 commitments coming into the day, but one of the top priorities for Luke Fickell and Co. has been upgrading their running back room. With Sandy Creek (Ga.) four-star Amari Latimer already committed, they’ve added another standout from the Peach State in Qwantavius Wiggins out of Langston Hughes (Ga.).

Wiggins took his official visit to Madison over the weekend, and the Florida International commit moved his pledge to the Badgers officially on Tuesday.

“I enjoyed the visit,” Wiggins told Badger Blitz on Monday. “They treated me well. It was really good they won that game. It’s crazy there. I didn’t expect that. I thought Wisconsin was a small state.”

The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder had been committed to FIU since June, when he chose the Panthers over Power 4 offers from Minnesota and Pittsburgh, along with Oregon State, South Florida, Memphis, UAB, and more.

But this fall, other programs — including Wisconsin, Florida State, and Auburn — began to take notice. The Seminoles hosted him for an unofficial visit in October, followed by his official visit to Wisconsin over the weekend. Auburn was supposed to welcome him to campus later this month, but the Badgers won out.

“They produce a lot of running backs. If I came into that room, I would have a chance to play early,” he told Badger Blitz.

Wiggins is the No. 815 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 52 running back and No. 88 recruit in Georgia.
