Stanford's Valerie Glozman wins ITA All-American singles title

Stanford’s Valerie Glozman started her sophomore season with a bang this fall quarter as she won the ITA All-American singles title at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina, defeating Texas sophomore Carmen Herea in the final 6-2, 6-3. Glozman became the first Cardinal to win the women’s ITA All-American singles title Hilary Barte in 2010.

Glozman was strong the entire tournament, dropping only one set in her Round of 16 match against Mao Mushika of Cal (3-6, 7-5, 6-3). Glozman came into the tournament as a 4 seed and certainly backed up her seeding with her dominant performance. Glozman extended her winning streak to 14 matches and is now 20-5 in matches against ranked opponents in her college career.
Glozman comes into the 2025-26 season ranked No. 6 in the ITA singles rankings, making her one of the top players in the country. She had a fantastic freshman season and looks to once again have a dominant sophomore season on The Farm. As a result of her performance in Cary, she has qualified for the NCAA individual championships in Orlando, Florida. That will be played from November 18th-23rd.
To touch more on just how highly rated Glozman was coming out of high school, she was a 5-star Blue Chip recruit and finished her high school career ranked No. 1 in the final Class of 2024 rankings by TennisRecruiting.net and at the time of her commitment to Stanford was ranked No. 2. She’s a sensational talent, earning a main draw entry into the US Open this past summer. She fell to Suzan Lamens in the first round 4-6, 2-6.
Overall, Valerie Glozman is living up to the hype and is a major reason why Stanford is expected to be a serious threat to win a national championship in 2026. It’ll be fun to see how her sophomore season goes, what she does in Orlando, and what kind of season the Cardinal have with her at the helm.
