Louisville football extends more offers with Junior Day approaching

Louisville football, head coach Jeff Brohm, and director of player personnel Vince Marrow have been taking some national spotlight with their 2027 high school recruiting class.

With four commits, the class is currently ranked 10th in the nation and second in the ACC. Most recently, the Cardinals secured verbal pledges from Trinity’s (Ky.) Allen Evans and Cleveland-area tight end D’Angelo White. Both are high four-stars, with Evans being a top-10 corner in the country and the No. 2 player in the state. Tri-West (Ind.) quarterback Jack Sorgi and 6-foot-3 wideout Chuck Alexander Jr. are also two highly-touted recruits who are committed to play for the Cards.

The 2027 class has some of the most talent we’ve seen across the Commonwealth in recent memory, with Louisville in the mix for all five of the state’s top prospects.

With Louisville’s Junior Day approaching next weekend, which will include attending the men’s basketball team’s home game against SMU and facility tours, Brohm’s staff has been out on the trail recruiting and offering some of the class’s top players, especially in the south.

Below are players in the 2027 class that the Cardinals have offered over the past week.

Junior Day

We are expecting a large group on campus the final weekend of January, including J-Town’s Larron Westmoreland, Joshua Echols, and Jaylen Mercer. Expect a few of the names above to be in attendance, and the visit list to grow in the coming days.

On the radar

Louisville is heavily involved with another set of recruits and is the school trending for several of them.

And while top in-state pass-catchers like Cam Wade (Paducah-Tighlman) and Tyler Fryman (Beechwood) won’t be in attendance for Junior Day, the Cards remain consistent players in their recruitments. The same can be said about prospects like Jordan Haskins and Ronald Moore, who plan to visit the Cards at some point this spring.

Other names to monitor include Lakota West (Oh.) defensive lineman Reilly Newman and three-star athlete Josiah Pouncy.
