Two high school offensive linemen from the 2026 class have committed to Kentucky in the past month and now the Wildcats are looking for help via a different avenue.

Kentucky offensive line coach Eric Wolford has extended an offer to J.J. Wilson, a 6’7, 310-pound offensive tackle from Northeast Oklahoma Community College. Kentucky is the first power conference school to offer Wilson, although he told Cats Illustrated this week that he also has offers from Missouri State and Sam Houston State.

“I’m pretty much just talking to some other schools, but it’s not any other offers yet,” Wilson said.

Kentucky first reached out during the spring and communication has been ongoing since then.

“(Wolford) just thinks I need to develop some more in the weight room and get some good coaching then I’ll be good to go,” Wilson said.

As far as Wilson’s feelings on the Wildcats?

“It’s Kentucky,” he said. “It’s a big time school. It’s Kentucky so it’s big. I’ll take a visit there somewhere down the line.”

Wilson was a true freshman in junior college last year. He will spend a second season at JUCO this fall and will then transfer to a four-year university with three years to complete two remaining seasons of eligibility.

Offensive tackle Cameron Miller and offensive guard Tyreek Jemison are high school linemen who have committed to Kentucky out of the 2026 class.
