The Arkansas Razorbacks landed their 25th commitment for the 2026 class on Wednesday from Theodore (Ala.) linebacker JJ Bush.

The 6-foot-3, 205 pound Bush is rated as a three-star by Rivals and On3, but is a four-star per the Rivals Industry Ranking and the nation’s 28th-best linebacker. He visited Arkansas the weekend of June 20, right before the NCAA summer dead period went into effect.

LSU appeared to have emerged as the favorite to secure Bush’s commitment after he dropped his top 4 on June 23 that included the Tigers, Arkansas, Cincinnati and Missouri, but the Hogs ultimately won out.

“The change really started happening about a week before my commitment,” Bush told Rivals Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons. I had been thinking about both schools a lot, but something about Arkansas just kept pulling me in stronger every day.

“The coaching staff, the player development, the energy in Fayetteville and just how real the program feels pushed them to the top for me. It’s a place I can grow as a player and as a man.”

As a junior at Theodore, Bush logged 70 tackles, including 22 for loss, with six sacks and also nabbed an interception.

The Razorbacks’ 2026 class holds at No. 13 nationally, third in the SEC, following Bush’s commitment.
