Below are the Week 9 Athletic Field Services of Arkansas prep performers of the week.
QB – Cole Creighton – Shiloh Christian
Class: 2027
Height, Weight: 6-0, 190
As is the standard at Shiloh, the Saints have a lot of momentum heading into postseason play and Creighton is coming off of possibly his most complete varsity performance.
Against Van Buren, Creighton completed 8 of 10 passes for 210 yards for four touchdowns, rushed for 67 yards and a score, plus caught a 29-yard touchdown.
RB – Chris Ficklin – Bentonville
Class: 2026
Height, Weight: 5-10, 180
Committed to Central Oklahoma
Bentonville needed its star back in a conference title clinching game with crosstown rival Bentonville West, and he delivered.
Ficklin gashed the Wolverines for 255 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries to complete an unblemished regular season for the Tigers.
LB – Will Gaines – Searcy
Class: 2027
Height, Weight: 5-11, 210
Gaines will likely surpass 100 total tackles in the first round of the playoffs, but he put together another huge performance in the Lions’ regular season final win over Beebe.
He logged 16 total stops, including one for loss, with three quarterback hurries and also batted down a pass.
QB – Hank Hendrix – Fayetteville
Class: 2027
Height, Weight: 6-2, 165
Offers: Arkansas, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, TCU, among others
The Purple Dogs concluded the regular season with their third consecutive victory in another huge performance from Hendrix.
Hendrix completed 25 of his 34 passes for 406 yards and three touchdowns.
QB – Cain Price – Stuttgart
Class: 2027
Height, Weight: 6-2, 180
At this point, the Ricebirds are without question the biggest surprise storyline in Class 4A following a 10-0 regular season.
Price has been exceptional, and was again, in Stuttgart’s conference title clinching victory over Hamburg. He completed 20 of 27 passes for 287 yards and 2 scores, plus rushed for 162 yards and with 4 touchdowns.
