Report: Ryan Silverfield makes new additions to offensive line coaching staff
Arkansas head coach Ryan Silverfield has added more names to his coaching staff, as he is bringing Memphis offensive line coach Jeff Myers with him, and adding Ohio State assistant offensive line coach Marcus Johnson as well, according to a report from Matt Zenitz.
Myers spent the last three seasons as run game coordinator and offensive line coach under Silverfield at Memphis. He coordinated a rushing attack that finished with an average of 186.1 yards per game, good for 36th in the nation last year.
Prior to his time at Memphis, Myers worked as a graduate assistant at Toledo in 2015, and was on the staff that beat Bret Bielema and the Razorbacks that year. He went on to Iowa State from 2016-22, where he worked his way up from graduate assistant to assistant offensive line coach before he hopped over to Memphis.

Johnson is currently the assistant offensive line coach at Ohio State, but played for Silverfield when the two were with the Minnesota Vikings from 2005-08. He played his college ball at Ole Miss from 2001-04 and coached offensive linemen at Missouri and Purdue prior to his role at Ohio State.
A second round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, Johnson played for the Vikings, Raiders and Buccaneers, and also was a practice squad member of the Hartford Colonials in the Canadian Football League.
Silverfield chose Myers and Johnson over the retention of Eric Mateos, who spent two seasons as the offensive line coach at Arkansas.
