The Duquesne Women’s Basketball Team improved to 4-0 on the season for the first time since the 2009-10 season with a 102-73 victory over West Liberty Tuesday evening at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Five Duquesne players achieved double figures paced by a pair of double doubles. Dunja Zecevic obtained her first with a career high 19 points while also grabbing 10 rebounds. Harriet Ford’s second game as a Duke culminated in 10 points, 11 rebounds

Duquesne’s 69 rebounds matched a Dan Burt era best and were two off a program record. The Dukes also decisively emerged victorious in the paint 66-14 and in second chance points by a 35-6 count.

West Liberty had five players achieve double figures, paced by Dria Parker’s 20 points, 18 of which came from three-point range.

Duquesne’s next game will be on the road next Tuesday at Robert Morris, a contest scheduled for a 6 p.m. tilt.

A longer piece will come soon, but in the meantime, here are interviews with Zecevic, Alexis Bordas and Burt.
