Pitt Postgame Reaction: Jeff Capel, Damarco Minor Talk WVU Loss
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Pitt men’s basketball suffered its first loss of the 2025-26 season against hated rival West Virginia, 71-49, in the 192nd Backyard Brawl.
The Panthers’ offense started strong and held a 21-14 lead, but things unraveled beyond the 10-minute mark of the first half.
Pitt head coach Jeff Capel and guard Damarco Minor broke down the loss to West Virginia following the game.
