This past weekend, Rutgers Football suffered another Big Ten loss, losing 35-13 to Illinois out in Champaign on Saturday afternoon. With the recent loss, that brings the Scarlet Knights to 4-5 (1-5) on the year, as things get a whole lot tougher if they want to see the postseason.

On the flip side, Maryland is also entering this one with a loss. The Terps welcomed the No. 2 ranked Indiana Hoosiers to town on Saturday and despite looking solid early on, they struggled to contain the Hoosiers and went on to lose 55-10. Maryland currently sits at 4-4 (1-4) on the year.

This matchup between Rutgers and Maryland next week will be the 21st ever between the two programs, but also the first matchup since the two became official rivals according to the Big Ten a few months ago. The Terps currently holds a 12-8 series lead, but the Scarlet Knights have the most the victory here, defeating Maryland 31-17 last season in College Park.
