Three-Star Florida DB Cason Dash decommits from UConn Football
Lake Gibson (Florida) three-star defensive back Cason Dash has become the latest UConn Football recruit to decommit from the program and reopen his recruitment, he tells the UConn Report.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pounds cornerback prospect pledged his commitment to the Huskies since June 9th, where he chose UConn over the likes of offers from Appalachian State, Eastern Kentucky, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, UMass, and USF.

Dash is now the fourth decommit for the Huskies 2026 class since former head coach Jim Mora announced that he was leaving to become the new head coach at Colorado State.
He also becomes the eighth prospect to decommit from UConn Football this recruiting cycle joining the following recruits.

- RB Jayden Fox (UNLV commit)
- WR Quayd Hendryx (Minnesota commit)
- EDGE Jacquey Ferguson Jr
- LB Westen Ard
- CB Cason Dash
- CB Javion Romer
- S Kallen Martinez
This news also leaves the 2026 recruiting class with just nine total verbal commits and the Huskies 2026 class is now ranked No. 123 in the country per the Rivals Industry rankings.
