UConn Football LB Oumar Diomande set to enter Transfer Portal
UConn Football has taken another Transfer Portal hit ahead of the upcoming offseason, as linebacker Oumar Diomande will enter the portal after three seasons with the team per On3’s Pete Nakos.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker hails from Bronx, New York and played for John F. Kennedy High School before signing with UConn as a member of the 2023 recruiting class.

Diomande was unranked as a high school recruit and chose the Huskies over one other offer from the likes of Wagner.
After enrolling in 2023, Diomande played in four games while maintaining his redshirt status. A year later, he would go on to become a key special teams contributor in 2024 and a full time starter at linebacker in 2025. In his first full year as a starter, Diomande posted 111 total tackles (61 solo), 8.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and one pass deflections.
Diomande will have two years of eligibility remaining to play elsewhere.
