Between the Bets: Three wagers for Georgia-Texas

With Georgia and Texas one day away from kicking off, here are three wagers for the game.

Georgia tight end Oscar Delp O18.5 receiving yards -114

Delp has 20 or more yards in his last three games. The Longhorns have not fared well against tight ends in their past two games.

The risk in Delp is that Lawson Luckie and Elyiss Williams are also vying for targets. However, Delp’s recent usage indicates he should be a factor against Texas.

Georgia receiver Zachariah Branch O62.5 receiving yards -135

Branch’s recent volume makes this line too good to pass up. Branch is averaging 8.8 receptions and 77 in his last four games, while going for 63 or more in three of them.

Georgia’s offense is likely going to need to throw to set up the run due to Texas’ rushing defense, which should give Branch plenty of early targets.

Texas receiver Parker Livingston O20.5 receiving yards +100

This line is strange, to say the least. Maybe the books know something? The data says otherwise.

In eight of Texas’ nine games, Livingstone has crossed 21 yards or more. Georgia’s defense has improved over the last two games but is still vulnerable to the pass. Betting is about probabilities, and an 8-of-9 hit rate is too great to pass up.

Last week

Absolutely brutal.

I went with Chauncey Bowens to go over and Nate Frazier stole the show. Dillon Bell got 15 early receiving yards and no more catches. Georgia knocked Mississippi State quarterback Blake Shapen out of the game. Nothing went right last week, meaning a sweep is a must this Saturday.

Season to date: 9-12
