The University of Utah football program spent the last week before the recruiting dead period hosting some elite recruits, including three four-star in-state recruits. Timpview HS safety Aisa Galea’i committed earlier this week, and now, his former high school teammates are ready to join him. Utah has received a commitment from twins Kennan and Jaron Pula.

The twins decommitted from UCLA on Thursday, a move that had been long expected. The duo each held 25 offers, and officially visited UCLA and Utah. Some of the handful of schools that offered were Utah, UCLA, Alabama, Miami, BYU, Auburn, Washington, Oregon, Arizona State, and more.

What Utah is getting

Kennan Pula is a 6-foot-2 and 170 pound (four-star and No. 62 rated) receiver that also excelled at safety and as a punt returner. As a receiver, he was dynamic from every level of the field, whether it was short, intermediate, or deep routes. He also has a juke and a burst to his step that makes him difficult to handle. These same skills make him lethal as a punt returner.

Jaron Pula is a 6-foot-1 and 180 pound (four-star and No. 47 rated) receiver who seems to catch everything thrown his way, no matter how contested the battle is. He’s a physical playmaker with elite hands. He’s the type you throw to when you have a crucial play.

Both Kennan and Jaron will have opportunities to see immediate playing time once they arrive on campus in 2026.

What this means for the class

The Pula twins join offensive lineman Kelvin Obot, cornerback Dylan Waters, safety Aisa Galea’i, defensive tackle Javion Ramon, offensive lineman Rowdy Pearce, wide receiver Perrion Williams, tight end Bear Fisher, safety Carter Stewart, defensive end Preston Pitts, linebacker LaGary Mitchell, cornerback Major Hinchen, and quarterback Michael Johnson.

Utah’s work isn’t done at receiver, and now they wait for the decision of Utah legacy recruit Salesi Moa, another four-star in-state receiver, who is rated the No. 8 athlete and the No. 176 player overall in the 2026 Rivals250.
