West Virginia adds commitment from 2026 RB Christopher Talley

The West Virginia Mountaineers football program has added a commitment from Memphis (Tn.) Whitehaven 2026 running back Christopher Talley.
Talley, 6-foot-0, 170-pounds, picked the Mountaineers over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Memphis, Tulsa, Liberty, Connecticut, Southern Mississippi and more.
Talley announced the decision at a ceremony on Instagram.
The three-star prospect was first offered by West Virginia in March led by the efforts of running backs coach Larry Porter. That led to an official visit over the June 13-15 weekend and his subsequent commitment.
The Mountaineers immediately became a factor when he initially received the scholarship offer and he was intrigued by the program’s history and success with offensive skill players.
Prior to the trip to Morgantown, Talley also took official visits to Georgia Tech and Cincinnati. Those were his final three schools.
West Virginia is slotting the dynamic athlete at the running back position. Talley is coming off a season where he recorded 1,600 yards and 18 touchdowns showcasing his big play ability and explosiveness.
Talley is the latest commitment in a string of them for West Virginia in the 2026 class since the calendar flipped to June and becomes the second overall pledge at running back.
