Where does West Virginia sit in the initial NET Rankings?
The initial NET Rankings have been released and West Virginia has plenty of opportunities ahead of them.
The Mountaineers came in at No. 103 in the initial list at 6-2 but currently does not hold any quadrant one or two wins on the season. West Virginia is 0-1 in quadrant one games on the year and 1-1 in quadrant three while winning all five quadrant four opportunities.
This weekend the Mountaineers are set to square off with No. 56 Wake Forest on a neutral floor in Charleston and also will be able to play No. 63 Ohio State on a neutral floor in Cleveland Dec. 13.
There will be no shortage of opportunities once the Big 12 schedule begins for the Mountaineers to build their resume as teams such as Arizona (No. 6), Iowa State (No. 7), BYU (No. 13), Kansas (No. 17), Houston (No. 18) and Texas Tech (No. 37), among many others still are ahead on the slate.
