AUSL Golden Tickets: Texas A&M's Emiley Kennedy & Arizona's Devyn Netz latest additions

It’s hard to pass up a hard-throwing lefty and two-way star in softball. That’s why Texas A&M’s Emiley Kennedy and Arizona’s Devyn Netz are the latest to receive the Golden Ticket from the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) on Tuesday. Kennedy is the fifth college senior to essentially be drafted for the inaugural AUSL season, along with Virginia Tech’s Emma Lemley, Duke’s Ana Gold, Arkansas’s Bri Ellis and Florida’s Korbe Otis.
Draftee team assignments will be revealed on May 3 on ESPNU at 9 p.m. ET during the AUSL College Draft Show. The show will feature special guests, AUSL Coaches and General Managers, NCAA Coaches, and more. Savanna Collins will host with analysis from Amanda Scarborough and Haylie McCleney.

Kennedy emerged as a true ace in 2024, becoming a consensus All-American. She had a 23-11 record with five saves, a 1.93 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 200 Ks in over 200 innings. While Kennedy’s numbers this season aren’t as staggering, a tall lefty who can throw up in the mid-70s is valuable to any team trying to win softball games.
Netz is on pace to be the Big 12 Player of the Year and an All-American. She has flourished into a star after missing last season due to injury. Netz has an 18-5 record, 2.27 ERA and .94 WHIP in the circle and is batting .360 with eight doubles, 16 home runs and 57 RBIs.
