What about Florida State did you love the most?

What I loved most was the coaching staff who places emphasis on culture, family & relationships. I also love the winning legacy of Noles Softball.

What is your favorite travel ball memory?

Being a part of travel softball for more than half my life now, I have so many memories on and off the field. At the top of the list would have to be our annual team tradition of taking a sunset cruise during PGF Nationals every summer. It’s a surreal time saying goodbye to our seniors and wrapping up a competitive, busy showcase season. Hitting a walk-off grand slam in the pouring rain in Colorado last summer was pretty exciting too.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned from a coach?

Learning to fail forward. Understanding that learning to accept and process failure is essential to growing your game, both mentally and physically.

How do you get interested in softball?

I started a little later than many of my current teammates because I was competing in mixed martial arts while playing tennis, golf, basketball and swimming on my school’s swim team. I was almost 8 when I asked to try softball. My dad played baseball so he was thrilled to let me try. Once I realized how naturally and quickly I caught on, I was hooked. It’s a team sport that relies on individual impact and requires as much mental preparation as it does physical preparation.

What are your strengths as a player? What are you trying to improve on the most?

I’ve been complimented on my power, footwork & IQ. I’m working on improving my explosiveness and speed.

What player(s) do you look up to the most?

I’ve followed the careers of Jessi Warren and Mia Davidson for many years. Jessi is an incredible hitter/infielder and Mia sets the standard for catching (and hitting). I’m also a big fan of Kaley Mudge. She plays like she genuinely loves the game and she was a wonderful mentor; especially during the recruiting process.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of softball?

Cliche I know, but I love working out & lifting. I like any activities that keep me outside. I also nerd out on escape rooms and any types of puzzles.

What are you most excites you the most about playing college softball?

I think I’m most excited about being a part of the legacy that is FSU softball and being given the opportunity to be a part of a community of like-minded athletes who are working toward the common goal of competing for a national championship. I also want to give back to the sport that has given me so much and I’m certain the staff & mentors at FSU will help open the doors to make that happen
