Alabama’s 2025 season opener now has a kickoff time and television channel.

The Crimson Tide’s Week 1 matchup against Florida State on Saturday, Aug. 30, will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and air on ABC, according to Action Network’s Brett McMurphy. The first game of Kalen DeBoer’s second season will be at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.

This will mark the sixth meeting between Alabama and Florida State. The Crimson Tide owns a 3-1-1 advantage in the all-time series. The two teams last met to open the 2017 college football season in Atlanta, and Alabama won that matchup with the Seminoles, 24-7.

The 2025 season opener is the first of a two-game, home-and-home series between Alabama and FSU. The Seminoles will make a return trip to Tuscaloosa on September 19, 2026, per FBSchedules.com. Florida State is one of two non-conference games against a Power Four opponent on the Tide’s schedule, joining the Wisconsin Badgers (Sept. 13).

Other opening weekend SEC-ACC matchups to receive kickoff times and television channels, according to McMurphy, include LSU-Clemson (6:30 p.m. on ABC), Tennessee-Syracuse (11 a.m. on ABC) and South Carolina-Virginia Tech (2 p.m. on ESPN on Sunday, Aug. 31).
