Alabama basketball went 1-1 this past week. After starting off with an 80-75 victory over Mississippi State last Wednesday, the Crimson Tide came up short on the road against Kentucky on Saturday with an 81-90 final score. The result? Alabama has climbed to No. 24 in the latest AP Poll, which came out on Monday morning.

Last week, the Tide were ranked No. 25, so it’s only climbing one spot. But still, a 20-win regular season is still in the cards for this 17-10 (7-7 SEC) squad. There are only four regular-season games left, which include Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Texas A&M and LSU. The two home games against the Gamecocks and Aggies are sandwiched by two road games.

Here’s how the rest of the AP Poll turned out:

1. Gonzaga Bulldogs (23-2)

2. Arizona Wildcats (24-2)

3. Auburn Tigers (24-3)

4. Purdue Boilermakers (24-4)

5. Kansas Jayhawks (22-4)

6. Kentucky Wildcats (22-5)

7. Duke Blue Devils (23-4)

8. Villanova Wildcats (21-6)

9. Texas Tech Red Raiders (21-6)

10. Baylor Bears (22-5)

11. Providence Friars (22-3)

12. UCLA Bruins (19-5)

13. Wisconsin Badgers (21-5)

14. Houston Cougars (22-4)

15. Illinois Fighting Illini (19-7)

16. USC Trojans (23-4)

17. Tennessee Volunteers (19-7)

18. Arkansas Razorbacks (21-6)

19. Murray State Racers (26-2)

20. Texas Longhorns (19-8)

21. UConn Huskies (19-7)

22. Ohio State Buckeyes (16-7)

23. Saint Mary’s Gaels (22-6)

24. Alabama Crimson Tide (17-10)*

25. Iowa Hawkeyes (18-8)

That’s five SEC teams in the top 25. In addition, Alabama currently has five wins over top 18 teams. And since entering February, the Crimson Tide are 3-3 with all three losses coming to two teams rated in the top 6, Auburn and Kentucky. In other words, it’s been a brutal schedule for Nate Oats and company, but they’re fighting.
