The NFC Championship Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers is now in the books. It was a lopsided 31-7 victory for the Eagles, which means Alabama will see at least four of its former players participating in Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Depending on what happens in the AFC Championship Game, the Crimson Tide could see up to five total. Between the two teams participating in that game (Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs), only the Bengals have a former Alabama player — offensive lineman Jonah Williams. We’ll go ahead and include him as a possibility below, but it’s far from a guarantee.

Here are the former Alabama standouts playing in the Super Bowl:

Philadelphia Eagles

QB Jalen Hurts: Hurts hasn’t been as dominant in the postseason as he was in the regular season, but we have to keep in mind that the 49ers have one of the league’s top defenses. Through two games, the former Alabama quarterback has completed 31 of 49 attempts (63.3%) for 275 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He’s also added another 83 yards and two scores on the ground.

WR DeVonta Smith: Smith has been targeted 13 times in Philadelphia’s two postseason games, hauling in eight of them for 97 yards (good for a 12.1-yard average) and a touchdown. His best catch came on this 29-yarder in the first quarter of the NFC Championship Game, which set the Eagles up for their first score of the game:

OL Landon Dickerson: Dickerson has started all 19 games at left guard for the Eagles this season, including the NFC Championship against the 49ers. According to Pro Football Focus, the former second-round pick has graded out (67.1 overall) as the No. 21 guard in the NFL over 1,159 total snaps. That includes a 77.8 pass-blocking grade.

CB Josh Jobe: After going undrafted during the 2022 NFL Draft last April, Jobe made the Eagles roster and even got 20 snaps on defense. That included a career-high 13 against the New York Giants back in Week 14 of the regular season. Jobe has also made his mark as a key contributor on special teams, assisting on three tackles.

TBD – Bengals/Chiefs

OL Jonah Williams: With the AFC Championship currently underway, Williams has now started 18 of a possible 19 games at left tackle for the Bengals. That’s now 48 games in the past three seasons, including last year’s Super Bowl LVI against the Los Angeles Rams. That means if Cincinnati wins on Sunday, Williams will have back-to-back Super Bowl appearances.
