Senior Spotlight: Highlights of Alabama WR commit Owen Cabell

Alabama commitment Owen Cabell, a three-star wide receiver from Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, will conclude his senior season on Friday night. The final months on the high school field didn’t go quite as Cabell had envisioned, as his team won’t make the state playoffs. His future waits in Tuscaloosa after the summer decision.
Cabell earned an offer from the Crimson Tide after an outstanding camp performance in early June. The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder clocked a sub-4.5 in the 40-yard dash, immediately catching Alabama’s attention before drill work with the coaching staff. Cabell is considered a solid commitment and has not taken other visits since his decision.

On his summer commitment:
“The development you get down there is unlike something I’ve seen. They have access to things that put them a level above the rest. The ‘Bama factor is real, and what being at ‘Bama can do for you is huge,” Cabell told BOL after his decision.
CPA (2–7) plays its final game of the season at McCallie (7–2) on Friday night. Cabell’s team lost many of its star players, including its starting quarterback, after an undefeated, state championship season. Cabell had 43 receptions for 973 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2024. He has 35 receptions for 616 yards and six receiving touchdowns this fall. He also recorded a 96-yard kickoff return for another score.
