Where Alabama basketball is ranked in final AP Poll of the 2024-25 season

Following Florida’s win in the national championship on Monday night, the AP Poll released its final rankings of the 2024-25 season. Alabama came in at No. 6, up one spot from the previous poll.

It marks the third consecutive year and the fourth time in five years that Alabama has been ranked in the top-10 of the final AP Poll. The Crimson Tide went wire-to-wire in the top-10 of the poll throughout the 2024-25 season for the first time in school history.

Alabama finished the season with a 28-9 record, tying the mark for the second-most wins in a single season in school history. The season included a 13-5 record in regular season SEC play and an appearance in the SEC Tournament semifinals. The Tide received the 2-seed in the East Region in the NCAA Tournament and made the Elite Eight for the third time in school history, falling to 1-seed Duke.

It was a historic year for the SEC, who not only had the national champion but consistently performed as the best conference in the sport. The league finished with eight ranked teams, including No. 1 Florida, No. 4 Auburn, No. 5 Tennessee, No. 6 Alabama, No. 12 Kentucky, No. 18 Ole Miss, No. 19 Texas A&M and No. 20 Arkansas.

Nate Oats and his staff now turn their attention to roster construction during the offseason in preparation for the 2025-26 season.
