AUBURN, ALABAMA — More than two dozen major targets of Auburn attended Saturday’s Big Cat Weekend recruiting event. Here’s a re-cap of three post-event interviews …

Jabari Murphy is a 2024 WR for Auburn fans to know

Jabari Murphy, a 3-star receiver from Eclectic (Al.) Elmore County High with a 4-star offer list, was among the notable juniors at Big Cat Weekend. Murphy, listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, is the No. 15 recruit in the state of Alabama for On3. Auburn hasn’t yet offered, but he got some attention Saturday from the staff.

Here are some of his interview highlights:

With this being your first visit to Auburn, what was it like and how does it feel to be invited to Big Cat?

“It was like a dream come true. It all looked good. I really liked it. I’ve always wanted to go to Auburn, I just have to keep on working so I can make that dream come true.”

Did you grow up an Auburn fan?

“I’m actually an Alabama fan, but I like Auburn. I’d rather go to Auburn than Bama.”

What is the Auburn coaching staff’s message to you now?

“They’re just waiting to see what my film is going to look like a little bit this next year and then they’ll let me know something soon.”

You’re going to be doing some different stuff on offense this year. Do you feel like it fits your game?

“Oh yeah, it definitely does. I like the offense that we’re running. It’s like a spread concept kind of. We’re throwing the ball a lot and that’s what I like.”

Where do you currently have offers from?

“West Virginia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Maryland, and Penn State”

Bradley Shaw is an up-and-comer from Hoover, Ala.

Bradley Shaw is an unranked 2024 linebacker from Hoover, Ala. — but he probably won’t be unranked for long. That’s because the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Shaw already holds offers from multiple Power 5 programs, including Auburn. Here are some of his interview highlights:

How was your Big Cat experience?

“It was great, a great environment. I love it here. We were just interacting, (linebackers coach Christian Robinson) showed that he cares for me.”

How does it feel being here for the first time since your offer from Auburn in July?

“It’s been nice. They’re showing love and showing they want me.”

What is your mindset toward Auburn and other schools? Is there a leader?

“Really, I just have an open mind right now. I’m taking it all into consideration.”

Terrance Love still gets that home feeling in Auburn

Four-star safety Terrance Love of Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes became the second member of the 2023 Auburn commit list in April. Now, he’s hoping a few of his teammates join him with the Tigers. Love has visited Auburn multiple times and was back on campus Saturday for Big Cat. Here are some of his interview highlights:

What are your thoughts from today?

“I thought today went well. It was very good and I know just about all of the guys here.”

What made you commit to Auburn back in April?

“It was really just the home feeling. I love all of the coaches, especially (Secondary coach) Zac Etheridge. He’s good with developing players for the next level, so I felt like I should go ahead and dial that in there.”

Did you have that “home” feeling here today?

“Yeah, I definitely did. I always do.”
