Bralan Womack flips from Auburn to Mississippi State
Two days before signing day opens on Dec. 3, Auburn’s lost one of its top commitments.
Four-star safety Bralan Womack flipped to Mississippi State Monday, one day after Auburn hired Alex Golesh as its 33rd head coach in program history. Womack had been committed to Auburn since August.
“Home is home,” Womack told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
Auburn initially beat out Ohio State, Texas A&M and Florida for the commitment of Womack on Aug. 21. He remained firm in his commitment until Auburn fired head coach Hugh Freeze Nov. 2. From there, Womack began exploring other possible options, visiting both Mississippi State and Texas A&M.
