Class of 2023 No. 3 linebacker Jaiden Ausberry sets visit to Auburn
Jaiden Ausberry, the No. 3 linebacker in the 2023 class, has set an unofficial visit to Auburn.
Ausberry, a four-star recruit from University Lab in Baton Rouge, La., will be in Auburn on Saturday, April 2.
Auburn is expected to hold a scrimmage that day. It will be Ausberry’s first visit to Auburn.
“I’ve never been up there, so I’m really looking forward to it,” Ausberry said. “I think my mom, dad and brother will come, too.”
Ausberry’s brother already is familiar with Auburn. Austin Ausberry, a four-star defensive back in the 2022 class, visited multiple times last year and ultimately signed with Auburn.
Jaiden Ausberry could do the same.
“I could really see myself fitting in their defense and playing alongside my brother,” Jaiden Ausberry said. “Auburn is really in the discussion for me right now.”
Christian Robinson playing big part in Jaiden Ausberry’s recruitment
Jaiden Ausberry’s brother isn’t the only reason Auburn is a contender. New linebackers coach Christian Robinson is playing a big part as well.
“I talk to Coach Robinson almost every day,” Jaiden Ausberry said. “He’s cool. He’s a real good guy. I have had a relationship with him since he was at Florida. He recruited me hard there and now he’s recruiting me hard to Auburn.”
Robinson was hired at Auburn in January. Ausberry was excited to see one of his favorite coaches go to one of his favorite schools.
“That was 100 percent a great hire by Auburn,” Ausberry said. “He’s a great coach. He’s a great recruiter. In all aspects that was a great hire. I was real fired up about it.”
Several visits on deck for Jaiden Ausberry
Before visiting Auburn in April, Ausberry will see several other schools.
“I’ve got Oregon this weekend, Notre Dame next weekend, Michigan and Michigan State the week after that and then Auburn and Miami,” Ausberry said. “I’m still open to a lot of schools.”
Ausberry, who is listed at six-feet tall and 200 pounds, is the No. 53 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally-weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks the No. 4 overall recruit in Louisiana.
Ausberry currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $8,500. The NIL Valuation is comprised of a number of dynamic data points that focus on two primary factors – an athlete’s social media presence and their level of athletic performance.
