Golesh announces staff additions
Head coach Alex Golesh on Monday made official a number of staff additions that had been brewing.
The most important move involved an old face: Defensive coordinator DJ Durkin now officially has been retained as defensive coordinator. Golesh said earlier in the day that Durkin, who has been running the Tigers’ defense for two years now, was his first choice to lead the Auburn defense in 2026.
Golesh also announced that Joel Gordon, who served alongside Kodi Burns as the Bulls’ co-offensive coordinator, will serve in that same role on the Plains. He spent the past three seasons in Tampa and worked at Iowa State prior to that. Golesh and Gordon worked together in Ames from 2016-19 on the offensive side of the ball.

Tyler Hudenick also will make the move from Tampa and coach the Tigers’ offensive line. He played along the offensive line at UCF and worked under Golesh for two seasons at Tennessee beginning in 2021.
Brad Wilson (defensive assistant) and Andrew Warsaw (general manager) were announced Monday as well.
