AUBURN | Auburn added a couple of left-handed sluggers Thursday.

St. Mary’s transfer Eddie Madrigal and Northern Illinois transfer Logan Gregorio have both signed with the Tigers and will be seniors on the 2026 baseball team.

Madrigal, who has played both first base and outfield, batted .368 with 13 doubles, two triples, 21 home runs and 79 RBI last season. He struck out 35 times, drew 28 walks and was 9 of 10 on stolen bases.

The 6-foot-1 and 195-pound Madrigal was named an ABCA All-American and first-team All-WCC leading St. Mary’s to a WCC Tournament championship, its second-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and first-ever NCAA Tournament win, beating Oregon State 6-4.

In the win over the Beavers, Madrigal was 2 of 4 with a walk and two runs scored. He was 3 of 11 in the tournament with three walks and one RBI.

Gregorio, who can play catcher, outfield, first base or designated hitter, batted .332 with 19 doubles, 18 home runs and 69 RBI. He struck out 34 times and drew 24 walks.

The 6-foot-1 and 200-pound Gregorio was named second-team ABCA Midwest All-Region. He was the only player to start all 54 games for NIU and his single-season home run and RBI totals are the second-most in school history.

He helped the Huskies set single-season records in home runs, RBI, runs and walks.

The pair give Auburn eight total incoming transfers. AU signed five shortly after the portal opened in right-handed pitcher Drew Whalen  from Western Kentucky, left-handed pitcher Jake Marciano from Virginia Tech, left-handed pitcher Garrett Brewer from Michigan State, infielder Todd Clay from UAB and infielder Ryne Farber from Texas State.

The following week, AU added left-handed pitcher Ethan Harden from Belmont. The rising senior was 2-2 with a 2.45 ERA and six saves last season. He struck out 32 and issued 10 walks in 29.1 innings.

He had a 2.64 ERA in three seasons with Belmont, missing 2024 with an injury.

The transfer portal closed for incoming players at midnight Tuesday.
