WATCH: Dichiara homer gives Auburn early lead
Auburn is currently taking on Oregon State in game three of the Super Regional in Corvallis, Oregon. Auburn must win this game to stay alive.
In case you missed it, Auburn got on the scoreboard first. Similar to the first game against The Beavers, Dichiara got a hold of a low pitch and sent it over the back wall. He also had a teammate on base. Another two-run homer puts Auburn in an early lead.
In the top of the third inning, the game was still scoreless. That was until Auburn’s best hitter, Sonny Dichiara, hit a two-run shot over the left-center field wall.
This was Dichiara’s 22nd home-run of the season. It came at a crucial time on his second at bat in game three of the super regional.
While writing this, Oregon State has now gotten on the board to make it 2-1. Auburn is looking to win and advance to its 6th World Series appearance since the year 2,000.
