Where Auburn commits are playing this week
It will be another busy week for those of you wanting to keep track of Auburn’s current 2023 and 2024 football commits.
To assist you, here’s a look at who they’ll be facing …
(Note: All games Friday unless otherwise noted)
–Terrance Love, S, Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes: Langston Hughes (6-0) plays host to Dallas (Ga.) East Paulding (2-4), 6:30 p.m. CT. Love has 21 tackles, including 10 solos, and one pass breakup — and five receptions for 144 yards and three touchdowns. East Paulding averages 26.5 points per game, so while Langston Hughes is the heavy favorite its defense could be tested.
–Jeremiah Cobb, RB, Montgomery Catholic (Ala.): Montgomery Catholic (7-0) plays host to Bullock County (Ala.), 7 p.m. CT. Cobb has 78 carries for 1,045 yards and 17 touchdowns — and nine receptions for 174 yards with four touchdowns. Bullock County is 3-4 and allows 29.5 points a game.
–Adam Hopkins, WR, Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central: Thomas County Central (6-0) at Tifton (Ga.) Tift County (1-6). Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. CT. Hopkins has 17 catches for 276 yards and five touchdowns this season.
–Jamarrion Harkless, DT, Lexington (Ky.) Frederick Douglass: Frederick Douglass (7-0) plays at Georgetown (Ky.) Great Crossing, which is 5-1. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. CT. Harkless leads a defense that allows just under 5 points a game.
–Daquayvious Sorey, WR, Chipley (Fla.): Chipley (5-0) at Tallahassee (Fla.) Maclay, which is 1-4. Kickoff is 6 p.m. CT. Sorey has 24 receptions for 468 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s also rushed for 68 yards on four carries. Maclay allows 35.8 points per game.
–Wilky Denaud, Edge, Fort Pierce (Fla.) John Carroll: John Carroll (4-1) lost to West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman 40-7 on Monday. Denaud leads a John Carroll defense that gives up 16.2 points a game.
–Bradyn Joiner, C, Auburn (Ala.): Auburn (7-0) is off. Joiner, Auburn’s first commit in the 2023 class, starts at tackle. Auburn High averages 38.8 points a game.
–Jacorious Hart, CB, Auburn (Ala.) Loachapoka: Loachapoka (6-0) plays at Autaugaville (Ala.), which is 4-2. Kickoff is 7 p.m. CT. Hart is having a strong season and in one recent game had an interception and returned it 92 yards for a touchdown.
–Gernorris Wilson, OT, Lakeland (Fla.): Lakeland (4-0) plays at Bartow (Fla.), which is 4-1. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. CT. Wilson starts at right tackle.
–Ashley Williams, Edge, Zachary (La.): Zachary (4-1) beat Baton Rouge (La.) Woodlawn-B.R. 33-6 on Thursday. Williams had eight tackles and five quarterback pressures.
Here are the 2024 Auburn commits
-2024, Adrian Posse, QB, Hialeah Gardens (Fla.) Mater Academy Charter: Mater Academy Charter (1-5) plays at Miami (Fla.) Ransom Everglades, which is 2-3. Kickoff was at 3 p.m. CT. Posse recently transferred to Mater Academy and saw his first game action of the season last week. He completed 21-of-30 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns. Posse entered the game with his team down 29-7 and led Mater Academy to a 33-29 win.
-2024-A’Mon Lane, CB, Moody (Ala.): Moody (7-0) plays at Odenville (Ala.) St. Clair County, which is 0-6. Kickoff is 7 p.m. CT.
