Greenville High product Tyler Brown has officially signed with Clemson after committing to the Tigers last month.

Brown officially joined the Clemson program Wednesday morning. He was originally committed to Minnesota.

Brown was offered by Clemson last month and didn’t need much time to decide to commit to the Tigers as he committed just a few days later.

“Just genuine coaches. Dabo, who wouldn’t want to run through a wall for that guy?” Tyler Brown previously told On3. “Stability in the system, man. All I’ve known since I came out the womb was purple and orange. It’s just the right place for me, for sure.”

Brown finished with 59 catches for 937 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior, earning a Shrine Bowl invite.

He impressed over the weekend in the Shrine Bowl, recording a 55-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.

Brown is ranked as a four-star recruit, the No. 42 receiver and the No. 294 overall player in the country, according to the On3 rankings.

Brown has a good relationship with current Clemson receiver Antonio Williams and added that he models his game after the Tigers freshman.

“Some people would kind of compare my game to Antonio Williams,” Brown said. “That’s my guy. That’s my guy, for sure. I definitely watch his film and try to model my game after his. I’m a speed guy, for sure.”

On3 scouting report on WR Tyler Brown

Yards after catch machine whose hip fluidity and change of direction is in a league of its own. Strong hands catcher who is comfortable catching the ball away from his frame.

Has the long speed to routinely take the top off of defenses. Ran a 10.87 100m during his junior track and field season. Route running is technically sound and does a tremendous job of sinking his hips at the top of routes and getting out of his breaks.

Lacks ideal measurables and length, which limits his catch radius. One of the highest floors of any receiver in the country. Will be an immediate role player at the next level and should be a consistently dynamic slot receiver with the potential to kick outside as a Z-type receiver.

Will become one of the most reliable receivers in all of college football and beyond.
