The incredible month for Clemson recruiting continued on Wednesday as elite defensive lineman Stephiylan Green committed to the Tigers.

Green chose Clemson over Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and others. He becomes the 14th commit for Clemson in the class of 2023.

The Rome, Georgia native is ranked as the No. 227 overall player in the country and the No. 30 defensive lineman in the nation, according to the On3 consensus rankings.

“The environment at Clemson is great. It is one big family,” Green told On3’s Chad Simmons. “The coaches make it feel like a family. Then the recruits that are coming in, in this class are big for me, too.”

Green visited Clemson earlier this month and had a great time on his trip.

Simmons posted a prediction for Green to end up at Clemson less than a week after the visit wrapped up.

On3 ranks Green even higher than the consensus rankings, listing him as the No. 16 defensive lineman and No. 110 overall player in the nation.

On3’s scouting department describes Green as “one of the more disruptive defensive linemen in the cycle.”

“A violent finisher with striking power,” it continues. “Blows up plays with his twitch and physicality. Dogged defender in pursuit, tracking down plays from the back side. Finished his junior season with over 20 tackles for loss and around 10 sacks.”

Clemson now has 11 four-star recruits in the class of 2023,
